“Just be patient—it will happen in God’s timing.”
Those words can feel heavy, especially when we are walking through a season of waiting, uncertainty, or transition. Patience is not passive—it is a posture of trust. But how do we anchor ourselves in God’s faithfulness when the road feels long and the answers feel distant?

We start by remembering.
We reflect on past moments when God showed up—quietly, powerfully, unmistakably. We write them down. We revisit those testimonies again and again, letting them remind us that He is still working. We lean into the wisdom of trusted voices—family, friends, and spiritual mentors who help us stay grounded in truth. And most importantly, we turn to scripture. There is no greater source of divine peace and hope than the Word of God.

Consider this passage from Lamentations:

Though the author of Lamentations is unknown, the book captures the deep sorrow of the Jewish people after the destruction of Jerusalem. According to the NIV Application Bible commentators, “no book of the Bible is more intense in expressing grief than this one.” That is a striking claim—especially when we consider the suffering of Job, the betrayal Joseph endured, and the constant threats David faced. Scripture does not shy away from pain. Yet woven through every story is a thread of redemption and hope.

Even in the depths of despair, the writer of Lamentations proclaims God’s goodness. That is the kind of faith we’re invited into—not blind optimism, but a bold trust in the character of God. He always comes through. And when the answer takes longer than we expect, it is often because He is arranging every detail of the blessing with precision and love. If He gave it too soon, it would be incomplete—and that would go against His nature.

God is never late.
He is always faithful.
And He always comes through for His people.
